SPRINGFIELD, MO. — DairiConcepts has acquired the hard Italian cheese business from Swiss Valley Farms. The business has been operated by Rochester Cheese.

DairiConcepts will add the business to its existing operations. With the acquisition, DairiConcepts will acquire the Dalbo, Minn., plant that was formerly operated by Rochester Cheese.

“The acquisition of Rochester Cheese’s sales and marketing platform fits nicely with our current hard Italian cheese strategy, providing resources we will need to support the future of this growing category of our business,” said Neil Stockman, vice-president of hard Italian cheese for DairiConcepts.

As a part of the agreement, DairiConcepts will exit the club cheese business, a category Rochester Cheese is expected to expand.
