Heat treatment ensures safety in flaxseed

MONROE, WIS. — Glanbia Nutritionals has developed a proprietary heat treatment process, MicroSure Plus, that offers food safety benefits by achieving a low level of aerobic plate counts in a range of flaxseed ingredients without compromising product quality, nutritional value or shelf life, according to the company.
MicroSure Plus was developed specifically for Glanbia Nutritionals’ flaxseed range, which includes BevGrad, SelectGrad and ChoiceGrad.
