Martin Jamieson to lead Ocean Nutrition Canada

DARTMOUTH, N.S. — Martin Jamieson has been named president and chief executive officer of Ocean Nutrition Canada, a supplier of omega-3 ingredients made from fish oil. Mr. Jamieson succeeds Robert Orr, who will become chairman of the company.

“Talent, particularly leadership talent, is the key to sustaining growth and profitability in our industry,” Mr. Orr said. “Building an internationally competitive company with sustainable differentiation requires a particular skill set. Martin has that talent and skill set. We are very fortunate to have him joining ONC and accepting the challenge of taking the company to the next level.”

Mr. Jamieson most recently was executive vice-president of Loblaw Brands at Loblaw Companies. Prior to joining Loblaw he was president of Robin Hood Multifoods and before that president of Pillsbury Canada Ltd.
