GNP Co. introduces frozen chicken line

ST. CLOUD, MINN. — The GNP Co., which markets and distributes the Gold’n Plump brand of chicken products, has introduced a line of frozen chicken the company is marketing as natural. The new products come in three varieties, including all natural boneless, skinless chicken thighs, all natural chicken breast fillets, and 90/10 ground chicken chubs.
“We see this as a ‘win/win’ for both our customers and consumers,” said Tracy Miller, director of new product development for GNP Co.
Ms. Miller said the offerings simplify merchandising and inventory management for customers, because all packages are fixed-weight, “scannable,” and have use-by dates.
“All carton products also use the same shipper, which should streamline stocking and storage for our customers,” she said.
The suggested retail price for the line of products ranges from $4.99 to $14.99, according to the company.
