Dino Dello Sbarba to president, c.o.o. of Saputo

MONTREAL — Dino Dello Sbarba has been named president and chief operating officer of Saputo, Inc., effective April 1, 2012. In his new role, he will continue to report to Lino A. Saputo Jr., who will remain chief executive officer and vice-chairman of the board.

Mr. Dello Sbarba has been with Saputo since 1990, and he has had positions that included president and c.o.o. of the Cheese Division (Canada); president and c.o.o. of the Cheese Division (USA); and, since 2006, president and c.o.o. of the Dairy Products Division (Canada) and by interim (Europe & Argentina).

Succeeding Mr. Dello Sbarba as president and c.o.o. of the Dairy Products Division (Canada) is Lorenzo Spinelli. Mr. Spinelli joined the company in 1998, and he has held the positions of vice-president of engineering and environmental affairs (Canada & USA); senior vice-president of operations (Canada); and, since 2009, senior vice-president and general director of the Dairy Products Divisions (Europe & Argentina).

Saputo also said Kai Bockmann has joined the company as president and c.o.o. of the Dairy Products Division (International), which previously was known as the Dairy Products Divisions (Europe & Argentina). Mr. Bockmann has more than 15 years of international experience within the food industry and has held several senior management positions in production, sales and marketing and has worked in Canada, the United States, China and India, as well as in Latin America.
