Potassium chloride brand enters market

KASSEL, GERMANY — K+S Kali GmbH planned to introduce its KaliSel potassium chloride brand at Salt Reduction Europe Feb. 16-17 in London. Potassium chloride (KCl) may be used as a substitute for sodium chloride as a taste enhancer, thickening agent, stabilizer or preservative in a variety of foods. K+S Kali GmbH, based in Kassel, has a U.S. office in New York.
