OMAHA — Through the Orville Redenbacher brand ConAgra has introduced a new Pop Up Bowl for microwave popcorn. The new product design allows for the popcorn to pop into a ready-to-serve, free-standing bowl.

“With the Pop Up Bowl, families can enjoy the warm, delicious taste of popcorn in a stand-up bowl that makes it easy to share and clean-up,” said Jesse Spungin, vice-president of marketing. “Plus, research showed that consumers wanted to be able to see their popcorn more easily, and the Pop Up Bowl’s unique design lets them do that.”

The new product has a suggested retail price of $2.99 for a 3-pack and $4.99 for a 6-pack and is available nationwide at grocery and mass retailers. It comes in five flavors — Butter, Movie Theater Butter and SmartPop! are currently available, and Kettle Korn and Ultimate Butter will be available in June.
