Sherman Miller to c.o.o. at Cal-Maine Foods

JACKSON, MISS. — Sherman Miller has been named chief operating officer at Cal-Maine Foods, Inc. Mr. Miller, currently vice-president of operations, will have responsibility for all of Cal-Maine Foods’ production and processing facilities. He will report directly to Dolph Baker, president and chief executive officer.

Mr. Miller has been with Cal-Maine Foods for more than 14 years, and prior to being vice-president of operations he was general manager of the company’s Chase, Kas., office. He earlier held management positions at the company’s processing plant locations in Delta, Utah, and Edwards, Miss.

He received a bachelor’s degree in poultry science from Mississippi State University in 1997, and he is a member of the board of the U.S. Poultry and Egg Association.

“Sherman Miller has been a valued member of our team since joining the company in 1997,” Mr. Baker said. “He is well qualified to take on this important role with Cal-Maine Foods. Having served in a variety of management positions in different locations, he has a deep understanding of all aspects of our operations. This well-deserved promotion recognizes Sherman’s leadership and dedication to the company, and we look forward to continuing to work with him as we execute our growth strategy.”
