Ken Calwell to president of Papa Murphy's

VANCOUVER, WASH. — Ken Calwell has been named president of Papa Murphy’s International, effective June 6. He will report to John Barr, Papa Murphy’s chairman and chief executive officer.

Mr. Calwell has more than 20 years of leadership experience at large quick-service restaurant chains, and most recently he was chief marketing officer for Wendy’s International. Prior to joining Wendy’s, he was the chief marketing officer and executive vice-president of research and development at Domino’s Pizza. Earlier, he held leadership positions at Frito-Lay, Pizza Hut, and The Pillsbury Co.

“We are excited and very fortunate that Ken will be joining our senior management team,” Mr. Barr said. “Ken is an accomplished restaurant industry executive with deep expertise leading highly visible consumer brands.”

Mr. Calwell received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Washburn University and a master’s degree in business administration from Indiana University.
