Synergy Flavors acquires Sensus, L.L.C.

WAUCONDA, ILL. — Synergy Flavors, a business unit of the Carbery Group, has acquired Sensus, L.L.C., Hamilton, Ohio. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The acquisition gives Synergy access to technologies for natural essence manufacturing, and strengthens its position in the tea and coffee markets, according to the company.

“This acquisition offers significant benefits to our customers by providing direct access to natural essences and extracts that greatly enhance our capability to serve the growing demand for natural flavorings,” said Roderick W. Sowders, president and chief executive officer of Synergy Flavors. “In addition to innovative technologies, I believe Sensus’ access to the food service sector will open new commercial possibilities for Synergy’s flavor portfolio. Sensus’ customers will also benefit from the additional flavor expertise and global reach of the Synergy organization.”
