New Wixon seasonings add gourmet traits

ST. FRANCIS, WIS. — Wixon, Inc. has introduced seasonings designed to add a gourmet touch. They include six in the category of meat seasonings, rubs and marinades; four in the category of sauce and dip seasonings and five in the category of snack seasonings.
A bold red wine and shallot rub features a bright, strong wine that complements onion and garlic notes in a blend. Mediterranean Greek sausage seasoning features flavor protein with lemon, orange and peppermint along with a hint of garlic and herb notes.
A pineapple jerk chicken sausage seasoning is a spicy blend of clove, allspice and cinnamon along with pineapple and lime. Rich Asian plum marinade has a velvety, sweet drizzle of teriyaki and plum. Sweet and smoky chipotle and mango rub is a combination of mango, chipotle, onion, garlic and cilantro. Tangy recado de arbol rub features cinnamon, oregano, honey, basil and guajillo chile pepper.
Turning to sauce and dip seasonings, vegetables may be dipped into a cranberry orange tangerine cocktail dip while fiery harissa sauce includes harissa, a hot chile paste commonly found in North African cooking. Fresh roasted cumin aioli sauce includes garlic, cumin, sun-dried tomato and lemon. Guajillo fusion sour cream sauce is a blend of guajillo chile pepper, roasted garlic, vinegar, umami, sweet chile and honey.
Under the snack seasonings category, classic soy sauce features toasted sesame and soy sauce while habanero BBQ has a bit of mesquite. Siracha hot and alarming chili has a bite with vinegar, onion and garlic. Zesty sweet and sour blends pineapple with sour and ginger notes. Zippy Chinese mustard has sharp mustard and a touch of honey.
