PARSIPPANY, N.J. — Pinnacle Foods Group L.L.C. plans to close its pickle production plant located in Millsboro, Del., by the end of the year. Production will be shifted to the company’s facility in Imlay City, Mich.

The company said its decision to close the facility coincides with its efforts to focus on its branded Vlasic business and de-emphasize its non-branded pickle business.

Pinnacle Foods executives plan to invest capital to increase the capacity and upgrade the existing manufacturing capabilities of the Imlay City facility.
