World Food Processing buys soy protein facility

ST. PAUL, MINN. — World Food Processing has acquired a soy protein isolate manufacturing facility in Turtle Lake, Wis., from Kerry Ingredients & Flavors. The facility has a capacity of 5,000 tonnes. World Food Processing will produce hexane-free organic soy protein isolates there as well as conventional soy protein isolates.
Based in Oskaloosa, Iowa, World Food Processing is a genetic breeding company that is integrated vertically into procurement, seed conditioning, ingredient processing and food formulations. The company also has a facility in Randolph, Minn.
