Report details benefits of tart cherries

LANSING, MICH. — The Red Report, a new scientific look at the benefits of tart cherries, is now available at, according to the Cherry Marketing Institute, an organization funded by North American tart cherry growers and processors. There are now more than 50 studies specifically on tart cherries. Besides health-promoting properties, tart cherries have a sweet-tart taste and are available year-round as dried, frozen, juice and juice concentrate.
