Land O'Lakes, Inc. names new president and c.e.o.

ARDEN HILLS, MINN. — Land O'Lakes, Inc. on Wednesday announced that its board of directors has named Chris Policinski the company’s president and chief executive officer effective October 1. Mr. Policinski will replace Jack Gherty, who is retiring after 35 years with Land O’Lakes, including the last 16 years as president and c.e.o.
Mr. Policinski, currently Land O’Lakes executive vice-president and chief operating officer for Dairy Foods, has held various leadership positions with the company since joining the national food and agricultural cooperative in 1997. He has more than 25 years of management experience and previously held leadership positions with General Foods, Kraft Foods Inc., Bristol Meyers Squib and The Pillsbury Co.
He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame and a master’s degree from New York University. He is a member of the board of directors of the National Milk Producers Federation and is on the President’s Council of the Grocery Manufacturers of America.
