DALLAS — Dairy.com is acquiring DairyCareers, a leading on-line recruiting business for the dairy industry.
Established in 2000, DairyCareers has active profiles and resumes of more than 1,100 dairy professionals and has provided professional staffing services to more than 80 diary companies.
Founded by leading dairy companies, Dairy.com provides a range of Internet solutions to the industry it serves.
The acquisition of DairyCareers represents a significant boost, said Scott Sexton, Dairy.com chairman and chief executive officer.
"DairyCareers gives us the deep recruiting and placement capabilities to more fully serve the informational needs of the industry," Mr. Sexton said. "Lucas Lentsch (founder of DairyCareers) is an outstanding addition to our team and has the industry depth and track record of success in recruiting services to lead this new Dairy.com business line."
Mr. Lentsch noted that DairyCareers has more than 2,000 registered users across 300 dairy manufacturers, cooperatives and transportation providers.
"DairyCareers’ traditional stronghold is food and beverage manufacturing at every level, and, with Dairy.com’s community, we expect to become highly active in the staffing of procurement and supply chain functions as well," he said.
The dairy organizations that combined forces to create Dairy.com in July 2000 were Dairy Farmers of America, The Dannon Co., Dean Foods, Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, Kraft Foods, Land O’ Lakes, Leprino Foods and Schreiber Foods.
