COLUMBIA, MD. — MaggieMoo’s International has launched new ice cream cupcakes with the aim of capitalizing on the recent popularity of the diminutive dessert cakes.
"They are no longer just for kids, cupcakes are now considered the ‘trendy’ dessert," said Jon Jameson, chief executive officer of MaggieMoo’s International. "Given their recent popularity, we decided to be the first to create ice cream cupcakes, using our award-winning MaggieMoo’s ice cream and rich chocolate ganache."
The original MaggieMoo’s ice cream cupcake consists of dark chocolate ice cream, a layer of chocolate cake and marshmallow filling, all topped with ganache and a swirl of Better Creme.
Although this is the signature cupcake flavor, MaggieMoo’s Treateries have been given creative license to make any design and flavor of cupcakes. Customers also may custom order cupcakes for birthday parties and special events.
The ice cream cupcakes may be purchased in four- and six-pack containers.
