Manager, two technicians join Desserts team at Kerry Americas

NEW CENTURY, KAS. — Kerry Americas has hired KK Mui as new account manager and Julie Talkington and Emily Squiric as research and development technicians for its Frozen and Chilled Desserts team.
Mr. Mui will manage the ingredient needs for Kerry’s ice cream and novelty ingredient customers. The position includes sales research and development, purchasing and quality management efforts. While working in the dessert market for 20 years, Mr. Mui has held positions at Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream in Union City, Calif., Guernsey Del in Chicago and the World’s Finest Chocolate Co. in Chicago.
Ms. Talkington will be responsible for developing coatings, baked and extruded inclusions, variegates and flavor bases. She has worked as a food scientist for seven years. She created dry seasoning blends, sauce mixes and snack seasonings at Williams Foods in Lenexa, Kas.
Ms. Squiric will focus on frozen dessert product development, which includes assisting with production issues and plant scale ups. Ms. Squiric previously worked for Kerry in the quality assurance department. She also has worked for American Ingredients Co. in Kansas City and International Multifoods in Minnetonka, Minn.
