MIAMI — The Cereal Bowl, a new breed of cafe where consumers may choose their own cereal creations, has introduced cereal flavored frozen yogurt using new "Flavor Blast Technology."
The new technology, in which toppings are injected with a burst of air into soft serve vanilla yogurt, will allow customers to add their favorite cereal flavors to the yogurt to create a product known as Freeze N’ Flakes. Customers will then have the opportunity to add more toppings such as fruits and syrups.
"The new Freeze N’ Flakes concept is a very exciting step for our company," said Michael Glassman, chief operating officer. "We are continually developing new ways to provide the many cereals we all love to our customers and this latest concept will be the perfect addition for the coming summer."
Founded in 2004, the Cereal Bowl offers more than 35 cereals, both hot and cold, as well as more than 60 toppings. The cafe also offers a product line called Beyond the Bowl, which includes oatmeal smoothies, known as Oaties, cereal shakes, bars, granola and cakes. The company opened its first store in Miami in late January.
