Parmeswar to v.p. of Central Insights Group at Sara Lee

DOWNERS GROVE, ILL. — Sara Lee Food & Beverage has named Ravi Parmeswar as vice-president of the company’s Central Insights Group, where he will lead the North American consumer, shopper and retailer research and insights teams. In addition, Mr. Parmeswar will support innovation growth by identifying key performance indicators and measurement processes for brand equity, as well as new processes for creating and using insights in business planning.
Prior to joining Sara Lee, Mr. Parmeswar was with The Coca-Cola Co., where he was vice-president of Coca-Cola North America Marketing. During his tenure, he also held the positions of vice-president and director, Coca-Cola Global Corporate Marketing, and associate director, sector manager for Latin America Group Marketing.
Earlier, he was with Campbell Soup Co., where he held a number of positions, most recently as director of global market research. He also spent two years at Kraft General Foods as a senior research engineer, where he set up a microwave technology program to develop proprietary technology.
Mr. Parmeswar received a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering form the University of Mysore in India, a master’s degree in business administration from Temple University, and a master’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Kansas. Additionally, he attended the Coca-Cola Executive Development Program at Wharton Business School.
