BROOMFIELD, COLO. — Horizon Organic is introducing an organic milk — Horizon Organic Milk Plus DHA — that is fortified with DHA omega-3.
The goal of the product is to help parents transition their children to regular milk from breastfeeding or infant formula while still receiving the benefits of DHA — a nutrient found naturally in breast milk and in most formulas.
The product also is organic and made without using antibiotics, added growth hormones or pesticides.
The milk will be available beginning in June at grocery and natural food stores throughout the country. It will come in half-gallon sizes with the options of whole, reduced-fat or low-fat milk.
