NEW BERLIN, WIS. — Denali Ingredients has introduced a line of Greek frozen yogurt concepts. The program provides dairy manufacturers with a complement of formulas, stabilizers and flavor ingredients necessary to begin manufacturing Greek frozen yogurts.
Denali will begin by offering three primary flavor concepts in vanilla honey cinnamon swirl, blueberry cheesecake and raspberry chocolate chunk. The company also offers a new stabilizer system called Ideal No. 680 that has been formulated to work with Greek frozen yogurt products.
“We’re offering our dairy partners a single-source solution that allows them to make Greek frozen yogurts that are consistent with the creamy, protein-rich product that consumers expect,” said Doug Allen, director of business development-stabilizer systems for New Berlin-based Denali Ingredients. “Our frozen Greek yogurts deliver 6 to 7 grams of protein, which is more than double that of a typical frozen yogurt. They also provide excellent freezing performance and superior heat shock protection, so they are easy to implement at the manufacturing level.”
