BELLINGHAM, WASH. — and the U.S. Department of Agriculture have partnered to help provide MyPyramid guidelines for mothers.

The effort is called "Partnering with MyPyramid: Corporate Challenge," and will add four new initiatives specifically designed to target mothers.

The initiatives include a grocery shopping guide, contests that reward healthy living choices and a tool for pregnancy nutrition. In addition, every day in October will send healthy eating tips to subscribers.

"The purpose of the ‘Partnering with MyPyramid: Corporate Challenge’ is to equip consumers with the information that they need to make smart decisions about eating more healthfully and being more physically active, so plays an important part in bringing that vision to reality," said Dr. Brian Wansink, executive director for the U.S.D.A.’s Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion.
