BATTLE CREEK, MICH. — The Kellogg Co. has donated $42,000 to the AACC International Foundation to establish the Kellogg Co. R.&D. Fellowship. The gift creates a permanent endowment to fund the fellowship, which will be awarded annually to an eligible graduate student pursuing a degree in grain science. The first fellowship will be awarded in September 2008. Margaret Bath, vice-president of corporate research, quality and technology at Kellogg, described the donation as "a small thank you" to students worldwide who "continue to drive science and technology forward and, in turn, make the entire food industry stronger." The AACC International Foundation offers undergraduate scholarship and graduate fellowships to students excelling in studies relevant to grain-based food science and technology.
