OAK BROOK, ILL. — McDonald’s USA is partnering with The Coca-Cola Co. to introduce a line of ready-to-drink McCafé Frappe beverages in retail stores. Available in caramel, vanilla and mocha flavors, the bottled beverages are slated to debut in early 2018 and will join a line of whole bean, ground and single-serve coffee currently sold in retailers nationwide.

The expanded retail presence is part of the company’s McCafé platform relaunch, which includes a new look, recrafted offerings and new espresso beverages in McDonald’s restaurants. The new offerings include updated lattes and mochas as well as a new line of “cafe-quality” espresso beverages, made with sustainably sourced ground espresso and U.S.-sourced whole or nonfat milk. The new offerings include hot or iced caramel macchiatos, French vanilla, caramel or hazelnut cappuccinos and Americano.

“Our new McCafé beverages start with 100% Arabica beans that are freshly ground and skillfully made on demand,” said Chef Dan Coudreaut, vice-president of culinary innovation for McDonald’s USA. “Coffee traditions are part of our culture and our talented crew members have been trained to handcraft our beverages as we work to elevate our coffee experience.”

Additionally, the refreshed McCafé brand will include a new logo and packaging that will change seasonally. The company will begin transitioning to an updated and expanded McCafé presence in its restaurants, featuring a “sleek, modern look” as part of its Experience of the Future, McDonald’s said.
