Paulo Basilio has been named zone president of Kraft Heinz's U.S. business.
 

PITTSBURGH — Kraft Heinz on Sept. 8 unveiled several management changes, including the appointment of Paulo Basilio to zone president of the U.S. business and David Knopf to executive vice-president and chief financial officer.

In his new role, Mr. Basilio will be responsible for all facets of Kraft Heinz’s U.S. business. He joined the company in June 2013 and most recently was executive vice-president and c.f.o. Before joining Kraft he was with All America Latina Logistica S.A., where he held various positions, including chief executive officer, chief operating officer, c.f.o., commercial officer and analyst.

Succeeding Mr. Basilio as c.f.o. will be Mr. Knopf, who currently is vice-president and category head of the Planters business. Mr. Knopf joined Kraft Heinz in July 2015 in connection with the merger of Kraft Foods and H.J. Heinz, initially serving as vice-president of finance, head of global budget and business planning, zero-based budgeting, and financial and strategic planning. Earlier, he held various roles at 3G Capital, Onex Partners and Goldman Sachs.

Kraft Heinz also said that George Zoghbi, currently c.o.o. of the U.S. business, will transition to a strategic adviser role. In his new position Mr. Zoghbi will work with the Kraft Heinz board of directors; Bernardo Hess, chief executive officer; and Mr. Basilio.

All the moves will take effect on Oct. 1.
