HANOVER, PA. — Heron Sub, Inc., a subsidiary of salty snack maker Utz Quality Foods, L.L.C., has completed its tender offer for all the outstanding shares of common stock of Inventure Foods, Inc. for $4 per share, or a total purchase price of about $165 million. Inventure Foods manufactures salted snacks under the brands Boulder Canyon, TGI Fridays, Nathan’s Famous, Vidalia Brands, Poore Brothers, Tato Skins and Bob’s Texas Style. Inventure Foods, which has manufacturing facilities in Goodyear, Ariz., and Bluffton, Ind., will operate as a subsidiary of Hanover-based Utz Quality Foods.

Because of the transaction, originally announced in October, the common stock of Inventure Foods no longer will trade on the Nasdaq or on any other public market.

“Inventure Foods’ specialty snack food products and brands, as well as its geographic footprint, customer relationships and distribution strengths, are highly complementary to Utz’s business,” said Dylan Lissette, chief executive officer of Utz, when the deal’s completion was announced Dec. 14.
