JACKSON, WIS. — Evolve Brands, L.L.C., a newly established health-focused snack holding company, has agreed to acquire Gorilly Goods and Supernola. The company plans to consolidate and operate both businesses out of Jackson. Financial terms of the deal, which is expected to close in February, were not disclosed.

“The Gorilly Goods and Supernola brands align perfectly with Evolve’s mission to actively create a better world through better food that is nutrient-dense, delicious and convenient,” said Cindy Poiesz, partner in Evolve Brands and founder of Supernola.

Supernola
Supernola offers grain-free superfood snacking granolas in four varieties.

Supernola offers grain-free superfood snacking granolas that are non-G.M.O., gluten-free and paleo. Varieties include Power Pineapple, Berries & Crème, Dragon Fruit Limon and Goji Spice.

Gorilly Goods manufactures organic, raw, on-the-go snacks made with non-G.M.O. ingredients such as fruits, nuts, seeds and greens. Launched in 2012, the company makes six products sold at regional and independent retailers across the United States and Canada. Varieties include sweet curry cashew trail mix and a fruit and nut bark.

“Gorilly Goods and Supernola are a match made in heaven,” said Frank Jimenez, a partner in Evolve Brands. “While each brand has different targeted audiences, the synergy afforded by these brands is extraordinary.”

The transaction requires Evolve to conditionally acquire the Gorilly Goods brand and maintain its manufacturing facility in Jackson while acquiring the Supernola brand and move its manufacturing to the Gorilly Goods facility. The facility is gluten, grain, dairy and peanut free.
