RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CALIF. — The board of directors of SweeGen, Inc. has named Charles W. Davis as president, effective March 1.

Mr. Davis most recently has served as an adviser to food and beverage companies and private equity funds. Earlier, he spent 35 years at The Kraft Heinz Co., including as executive vice-president of R.&D., quality and innovations.

He received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from The University of Massachusetts Lowell, a master’s degree in finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a master’s degree in food science from Rutgers University.

SweeGen develops, produces and distributes non-caloric sweeteners to the food, beverage and flavor industries.
