PENNSAUKEN, N.J. — J&J Snack Foods Corp. and Mondelez International have partnered through a new license agreement to introduce Sour Patch Kids Flavored Ice Pops, featuring a sweet frozen base and sour swirl. The products will be available in retail and club stores throughout the United States and Canada with a suggested retail price of $2.50 to $3.50 for a 12-count variety pack and $5.99 to $7.99 for a 30-count club pack.

Inspired by the classic candy, flavors include blue raspberry, lemon, lime, orange and redberry. The Sour Patch Kids brand debuted in 1985 and is the top selling sour candy brand in the U.S. marketplace, according to the company.

J&J Snack Foods and Mondelez International previously have collaborated to launch Oreo Churros.

“As a leader in the frozen novelty industry, we are thrilled to expand our partnership with Mondelez International to bring the iconic Sour Patch Kids brand to frozen novelties,” said Jerry Law, senior vice-president of J&J Snack Foods. “What makes this product shine is the sour swirl we infused into a sweet, frozen base, giving Sour Patch Kids candy fans the perfect ‘sour then sweet’ flavor profile.”
