SALISBURY, MD. — Brenda M. Galgano has been named senior vice-president and chief financial officer at Perdue Farms. In her new role, Ms. Galgano will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, including financial planning and analysis, accounting and financial reporting, as well as managing tax, internal audit, treasury, risk management and information technology.

Before joining Perdue Farms, Ms. Galgano was executive vice-president and c.f.o. of The Vitamin Shoppe. Earlier, she was senior vice-president, c.f.o. and treasurer of The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. She began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers. She received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bryant University.
