WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — Cherie Floyd, Ph.D., has been named chief technology officer at Sabra Dipping Co., L.L.C., a joint venture between PepsiCo, Inc. and Strauss Group that markets dips and spreads in North America. Sabra is the leading hummus brand in the $2.15 billion U.S. fresh dips category, according to the company.

Dr. Floyd joins the company from Kellogg Co., where she was vice-president for Kellogg North America Snacks R.&D., leading innovation, cost optimization and supply chain support research and development. Previously, at Kellogg, she also held several North America and global leadership positions across the categories of cereal, snacks, frozen foods in retail, food service and other specialty channels. Earlier in her career, Dr. Floyd held various product development scientist positions at General Mills and Pillsbury. She has a bachelor's degree in food technology from Texas Tech University and a master's degree and a Ph.D. in food science from Texas A&M University.
