AUKLAND, New Zealand — Ziwi now offers Ziwi Peak New Zealand Free-Range Chicken recipes for cats and dogs. In response to consumer’s demand for a free-range poultry option, the new formulas are available in both air-dried and canned.

The chicken in Ziwi’s recipes is sourced from New Zealand farms which are independently audited and certified as humane and ethically maintained. The company says free-range foraging ensures a nutritious and highly palatable product.

The family-owned company crafts its signature air-dried recipes in its company-owned kitchens. The new air-dried formulas include 96% chicken meat, organs, bone and New Zealand green mussels. The recipes contain no grains, peas, potatoes, lentils or other legumes. Ziwi air-dried can be fed as a complete diet, a pet food topper, a training reward or a treat.

The canned recipes contain a minimum of 91% chicken meat, organs, bone and New Zealand green mussels, combined with essential vitamins and minerals. Ziwi canned recipes are packaged in BPA-free cans, and contain no artificial binders or gums, including guar gum, carrageenan or agar-agar, utilizing only a small amount of chickpea as a natural binder for the meat-rich recipes.

Ziwi uses no rendered meats or meals, no added sugars, glycerins, artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. All Ziwi air-dried and canned recipes are complete and balanced for all life stages and breeds.

Ziwi was founded in 2004 on the philosophy of a whole prey, high meat diet, and has established itself as an innovator in air-dried pet nutrition. Ziwi’s portfolio of air-dried and canned dog and cat foods and oral chews are crafted in New Zealand and exported to over 20 countries around the world.
