BRUSSELS – Dr. Thomas Brenten, chair of the European Pet Food Industry Federation (FEDIAF) Nutrition and Analytical Science Working Group, presented revised FEDIAF nutritional guidelines for cat and dog food processors at the European Society of Veterinary and Comparative Nutrition congress in Munich in September. These guidelines were developed and are regularly updated by scientists from European countries to ensure pet food processors “adjust the nutritional quality of complete diets for dogs and cats based on state-of-the-art scientific knowledge,” according to Brenten.
