MINNEAPOLIS — Bellisio Foods, Inc., part of Bangkok, Thailand-based Charoen Pokphand Group, has acquired Frozen Specialties, Inc. (F.S.I.) from Swander Pace Capital. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Headquartered in Perrysburg, Ohio, F.S.I. makes private label and co-manufactured frozen pizza and pizza bites for distribution across the United States (including Puerto Rico), Canada and the Caribbean. The company is an organic certified manufacturer and operates a production facility in Archbold, Ohio.

“This acquisition of F.S.I. brings together our vibrant, growing companies who share an expertise in delivering delicious, exciting brands and private label products to retail customers that delight consumers,” said Ken Stickevers, president and chief executive officer of Bellisio Foods, Inc.

With the acquisition, Bellisio said it will fold F.S.I. into Overhill Farms, Inc., which is a leader in private label, co-manufacturing and food service products. Overhill Farms is also part of Charoen Pokphand Group.

Bellisio Foods and Overhill Farms produce more than 400 products spanning a wide variety of frozen food categories, including single- and multi-serve entrees, snacks, side dishes and a range of food service foods. Bellisio Foods markets products under its Michelina’s, Boston Market and Authentic Asia brands, as well as under licensed brands EatingWell and Atkins. Overhill Farms has a 33-year history with operations in both California and Ohio.
