ATLANTA — Alan Magee is joining Church’s Chicken as its new vice-president of digital marketing and technology. In this role, Mr. Magee will lead all marketing efforts for the company and its agency partners and implement non-traditional and emerging digitals media and technology.

Mr. Magee was most recently senior director of brand marketing for Moe’s Southwest Grill, a subsidiary of Focus Brands. Earlier in his career, he was the brand marketing manager for Arby’s Restaurant Group. His experience outside the food service industry includes brand leadership roles with InterContinental Hotels Group and Grey Worldwide Atlanta.

The addition of Mr. Magee is part of the restaurant chain’s “digital evolution,” Church’s said, as the brand transitions from a traditional marketing-only brand to one that uses a broad scope of marketing channels. Mr. Magee will oversee this initiative to engage with guests, build loyalty, and attract new customers.

“The decision to bring Alan aboard is tied directly to the roll-out of our new global brand positioning,” said Joe Christina, chief executive officer of Church’s. “As our brand moves in an increasingly digital direction, we’ve created this role specifically to address the unique needs, challenges and opportunities that come with marketing across digital and non-traditional platforms. Alan has a strong track record in the restaurant industry for being able to establish and lead an entire digital ecosystem. His expertise is going to be instrumental in achieving the best-in-class market position we’re pursuing going forward. We’re very excited to have him join the team.”
