DELPHOS, OHIO — Lakeview Farms, a marketer and manufacturer of refrigerated desserts, dips, seafood salads and spreads, has acquired Simply Fresh Foods, Buena Park, Calif., from Ancor Capital Partners. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Simply Fresh Foods is a producer of refrigerated salsas, dips and seafood salads. Brands include Rojo’s and San Francisco.

Ancor Capital Partners, a private equity firm based in Southlake, Texas, has made significant investments to support the growth of Simply Fresh Foods, said Ray Kingsbury, a partner with the firm.

“We have enjoyed the lasting relationships and culture that we have been able to build within the company over the course of our investment,” Mr. Kingsbury said. “The operation’s exclusive portfolio of leading brands and superior distribution model into nontraditional retailers have provided a powerful platform to enhance the company’s value and establish Simply Fresh Foods as an elevated player in the industry.

Lakeview’s family of brands includes Luisa’s, Salads of the Sea, Sea Gold, Senor Rico and others. The company recently announced the acquisition of Tribe Mediterranean Foods, a maker of gourmet hummus.
