NORWICH, N.Y. — Chobani, L.L.C. is ditching the dairy and crafting with coconut in its first line of plant-based offerings: Non-Dairy Chobani cultured organic coconut products.

Made with cultured coconut blends, including such ingredients as tapioca flour and quillaja extract, the yogurt alternatives are available in single-serve cup and single-serve drink formats. Non-Dairy Chobani products are packed with probiotics, contain no lactose and are made with non-G.M.O. ingredients. Additionally, new Non-Dairy Chobani products contain 25% less sugar than other non-dairy options, according to the company.

Non-Dairy Chobani 5.3-oz cups come in blueberry, peach, slightly sweet plain, strawberry and vanilla flavors, while the 7-oz drinks are available in mango, slightly sweet plain, strawberry and vanilla chai varieties.

“We have a belief: if we can’t make something better, we don’t make it at all,” said Hamdi Ulukaya, founder and chief executive officer of Chobani. “And for some time, we’ve felt that people deserve better non-dairy options. We’ve come up with something that’s much better than what’s out there — a new recipe that’s absolutely delicious but also meets our food philosophy of being nutritious, made with only natural ingredients and at a price that’s accessible to all. Most importantly, this isn’t a replacement to dairy, but it’s a game-changer for plant-based products.”

The launch of Non-Dairy Chobani follows the company’s recent debut of Chobani Gimmies, a line of products for children, and its expanded portfolio of Less Sugar Greek Yogurt.
