BRENHAM, TEXAS — Scott Eckert has been named president and chief executive officer of Del Sol Food Company, Inc. Del Sol Food manufactures condiments under the Briannas brand.
Mr. Eckert joins Del Sol from Community Coffee Co., where he was vice-president of marketing for the past five and a half years. Prior to that, he spent six years with ACH Food Companies in leadership roles, including director of marketing for the flavors division and director of marketing for the baking division. Earlier in his career, Mr. Eckert spent 16 years with ConAgra Foods, Inc., most recently as vice-president of marketing for meat snacks and sunflower seeds. During his time with the company, he held various leadership roles, such as senior director of marketing for Orville Redenbacher’s Popcorn and senior brand manager for Healthy Choice meals.
“Scott is a talented executive with extensive experience in the branded food and beverage industry,” Del Sol Food said. “His demonstrated track record of leadership in growing consumer packaged goods businesses makes him a perfect fit for Del Sol Food.”
Founded in 1983, Del Sol Food’s Briannas brand offers a portfolio of 15 premium salad dressings, including varieties such as Blush Wine Vinaigrette, Lively Lemon Tarragon, Saucy Ginger Mandarin and Creamy Cilantro Lime. The dressings are made in small batches, are gluten-free and contain no high-fructose corn syrup or trans fats. Del Sol Food produces all its dressings at its manufacturing facility in Brenham, which was built in 2006 and employs approximately 50.
