IRVINE, CALIF. — Golden State Foods, a worldwide distributor and food processor, has announced two leadership changes.

Larry McGill has been named corporate vice-president, president and chief executive officer of KanPak U.S., a subsidiary of Golden State Foods.

Mr. McGill’s 15-year tenure at Golden State Foods has included roles as managing director of the company’s Egypt division, vice-president of worldwide sales and marketing and most recently corporate vice-president and president of food processing.

He will oversee all operations for KanPak U.S., which Golden State Foods acquired in October.

“Larry has brought game-changing leadership, energy and enthusiasm to every role he’s served in at GSF,” said Mark Wetterau, chairman and chief executive officer at Golden State Foods. “He has established and built exceptional customer relationships throughout the world over the years, and has played a key role in growing the company’s food processing businesses. As we continue to serve our customers domestically and internationally, I have full confidence that Larry will effectively lead the KanPak U.S. team to outstanding achievements and growth.”

Mr. McGill received a bachelor’s degree in history from Texas A&M Commerce and a master’s degree in business administration from Century University in Albuquerque, N.M.

In another leadership announcement, Craig Reese has been named corporate vice-president and president of McDonald’s distribution. Mr. Reese will oversee all aspects of the company’s distribution services for McDonald’s, including directing the company’s multiple distribution centers to ensure efficient distribution and meeting Golden State Foods’ financial and growth goals.

Previously, Mr. Reese was responsible for the Yum! Brands global account at PepsiCo Inc. His career at Pepsi Beverages Co. includes senior vice-president and general manager roles.

“As a nearly 30-year veteran of the food service and beverage industry, Craig brings to GSF a wealth of experience in supply chain management,” said Neil Cracknell, executive vice-president and chief operating officer. “His proven track record in exceptional customer service, growing market share and creating employee satisfaction in some of the most competitive and dynamic markets in the U.S. will surely enable him to take GSF distribution to a whole new level.”

Mr. Reese received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
