LANCASTER, PA. — Tim Hopkins is joining Turkey Hill L.L.C. as chief executive officer. He succeeds John Cox, who has been named chairman of the company’s board of directors.

Mr. Hopkins brings more than 35 years of experience in the food and beverage industry to his new role. Previously, he was c.e.o. at ice cream novelties business PLM Operations, the parent company of La Michoacana. Before that, he was president and general manager at Friendly’s Ice Cream. He also held several leadership positions at The Dannon Co., Bestfoods and The Pillsbury Co.

Turkey Hill was acquired by an affiliate of Peak Rock Capital from the Kroger Co. in April. As a standalone company, the ice cream and refrigerated drinks manufacturer said it is focused on geographic expansion, improved capabilities and new product innovation.
