NEW YORK — Mark Ramadan has been named chief executive officer at Hu Master Holdings, the parent company of Hu Products and Hu Kitchen, a healthy-lifestyle snacking brand.

Mr. Ramadan is the co-founder and c.e.o. of non-G.M.O. condiments, sauces and dressings company Sir Kensington’s, which was acquired by Unilever in 2017 for $140 million.

“There is such incredible overlap between Hu’s philosophy to encourage consumers to ‘get back to human’ through the food they eat, and my personal philosophy of bringing food back to how it once was,” Mr. Ramadan said.

Hu was founded by Jason H. Karp and siblings Jordan Brown and Jessica (Brown) Karp in 2012 as a high-end New York eatery offering paleo-inspired foods. Using the Hu Kitchen market section as a proof-of-concept C.P.G. testing ground, the founders later expanded the company’s vegan and paleo-friendly chocolate products. Today, Hu has developed a multi-s.k.u. brand portfolio of wellness-focused, vegan and paleo-friendly snacks.

Mr. Ramadan’s hiring follows Hu’s recently announced partnership with an investment from Mondelez International. In April, Mondelez took a minority stake in the company as part of its SnackFutures venture, an innovation hub aimed at unlocking snacking growth.

“When Jordan, Jessica and I started Hu, we never dreamed of the rapid growth we’ve had,” Mr. Karp said. “At our current stage, we are thrilled to have Mark join as c.e.o., with his expertise of knowing how to responsibly scale a company without sacrificing the integrity of the product.”
