SPRINGDALE, ARK. — Noelle O’Mara, chief marketing officer of Tyson Foods, Inc., has been named group president of Prepared Foods. Ms. O’Mara will manage the company’s $9 billion Prepared Foods business that includes its Tyson, Jimmy Dean and Hillshire Farm brands. She also will oversee one-third of Tyson’s manufacturing facilities and more than 25,000 employees.

Ms. O’Mara joined Tyson Foods in April 2016 as vice-president of new business models. She was general manager and senior vice-president of the Tyson and Jimmy Dean business units before being named chief marketing officer earlier this year. Before joining Tyson, Ms. O’Mara held senior-level general manager positions with Kraft Heinz.

“Noelle is the right choice to lead the continued growth of our Prepared Foods business,” said Noel W. White, president and chief executive officer of Tyson Foods. “She has the leadership, knowledge and experience we need to help us deliver the next generation of innovation and service to our customers and consumers.”

Ms. O’Mara replaces Sally Grimes, who announced earlier this year her intent to leave the company. Ms. O’Mara will continue to report to Mr. White and will continue the duties of chief marketing officer on an interim basis. Ms. Grimes will assist with Ms. O’Mara’s transition into her new role.
