MISSISSAUGA, ONT. — Maple Leaf Foods, Inc. is on the hunt for a new chief financial officer. The company announced that current c.f.o. Debbie Simpson is leaving her position in November.

“Debbie has made a very significant contribution to Maple Leaf through her executive leadership in financial management, reporting and strategic initiatives that have shaped the future of our company,” said Michael McCain, president and chief executive officer at Maple Leaf Foods. “We have benefited immensely from her expertise and dedication and wish her the very best as she pursues her next challenge.”

The Canadian food producer, which includes brands like Maple Leaf, Maple Leaf Prime, Schneiders, Mina, Greenfield Natural Meat Co., Lightlife, Field Roast Grain Meat Co., and Swift, said an executive search is underway for Ms. Simpson’s successor.
