SAN FRANCISCO — Harmless Harvest, maker of organic coconut-based beverages, is launching a new line of plant-based snack drinks called Protein & Coconut that was created to “bridge the gap between meals and fuel the everyday,” the company said.

Made with a blend of plant proteins, including pea, sunflower and pumpkin, Protein & Coconut snack drinks contain 12 grams of plant-based protein, 5 grams of MCTs, 8 to 9 grams of fat and 7 grams of saturated fat per serving. Flavors include chocolate, vanilla spice and toasted coconut.

“Harmless Harvest Protein & Coconut drinks are made of an original and delicious blend of plant-based proteins,” said Miranda Hammer, M.S., R.D., C.D.N. “Protein is an essential macronutrient that is necessary for many important functions in the body such as muscle, skin, and bone development, hormone production, and immune support. This combination of plant-based proteins includes a range of amino acids and provides an optimal source of protein in one delicious drink.”

Harmless Harvest Protein & Coconut beverages are U.S.D.A. certified organic and made with Fair for Life Fair Trade Certified ingredients. The new line joins coconut water and dairy-free yogurt coconut drinks in Harmless Harvest’s portfolio.

“Protein & Coconut builds on the integrity of the Harmless Harvest coconut portfolio by continuing to uphold our Fair for Life commitment of social accountability and fair trade within our supply chain,” said Heather Cutter, senior vice-president of brand, innovation and marketing at Harmless Harvest. “Plant-based eaters finally have access to a drinkable snack that not only tastes amazing but is also nutritionally balanced with recognizable ingredients.”
