GLENDALE, CALIF. — IHOP is introducing a gluten-friendly menu, featuring buttermilk pancakes, waffles and Ultimate Steakburgers.

The new gluten-friendly menu items were designed to address the growing lifestyle trend of cutting down or avoiding gluten and are not appropriate for people who are allergic or intolerant, IHOP said.

The Original Gluten-Friendly Pancakes are made from batter that blends rice flour, sugar, milk, eggs and other gluten-friendly ingredients. Served in a stack of four topped with whipped butter, the pancakes are available as a combo with a selection of eggs, bacon or sausage and hash browns.

The Gluten-Friendly Belgian Waffles are made with the same gluten-friendly batter as the pancakes and are also topped with whipped butter. The waffles are available as a combo with a choice of eggs, bacon or sausage and hash browns.

IHOP gluten-friendly Ultimate SteakburgerThe Gluten-Friendly Ultimate Steakburgers are served on buns made with a blend of rice flour, milk, egg whites, a touch of honey and other gluten-friendly ingredients. Varieties include The Classic, The Classic with Bacon, Mega Monster, Loaded Philly, Jalapeño Kick and Cali Garlic Butter. The burgers are served with a choice of gluten-friendly sides, including french fries, fruit, hash browns or a two-stack of gluten-friendly pancakes.
