REDWOOD CITY, CALIF. – Jessie Becker has joined Impossible Foods in the newly created role of senior vice-president of marketing. In this new role, Ms. Becker will lead the company’s B2B and B2C marketing, insights and brand marketing teams.

Most recently, Ms. Becker was director of marketing for Google, a role she held since 2016. Before that, she was chief marketing officer at Optimizely, a B2B software company. Prior to Optimizely, Ms. Becker spent 12 years at Netflix, starting in 2000 as one of the first employees in the marketing department and eventually rising to interim chief marketing officer.

Ms. Becker joins Impossible Foods after the company made its grocery debut last month. The Impossible Burger is now available at all 27 outlets of Gelson’s Markets in Southern California, all 100 Wegmans locations in the Northeast and two Fairway stores in Manhattan.

“I’m thrilled to join Impossible Foods at such a significant inflection point for the company as it embarks on unprecedented growth and new channel launches,” Ms. Becker said. “It’s an incredible opportunity to build the plant-based food category with world-class marketing — while having a profound impact on our planet.”

Ms. Becker is the second hire for Impossible Foods in October. Earlier this month, Dan Greene was named senior vice-president of U.S. sales.
