NEWPORT BEACH, CALIF. — Layn Corp. has introduced a new proprietary variety of monk fruit that has been shown to produce 20% more mogrosides, the sweet components in monk fruit that are used to reduce sugar in foods and beverages. Layn Corp. calls the new monk fruit Super V Fruit. The increase in mogrosides will decrease the land, water and resources required to produce monk fruit.

The monk fruit harvest takes place from October through December in Guilin, China. Layn will process commercial scale volumes. Newport Beach-based Layn USA, Inc. is part of Layn Corp., which is based in China.
