COLUMBUS, OHIO — Lancaster Colony Corp. is unveiling new and improved recipes for its line of Marzetti brand Veggie Dips. The reformulated products contain fewer ingredients, less fat and fewer calories.
The new recipes strip out all artificial flavors and colors and highlight the dips’ simple ingredients, including cream, buttermilk and spices, the company said. The reformulations have been implemented across all Veggie Dip varieties, including ranch, dill, French onion, spinach, Southwest ranch and blue cheese.
The reformulated ranch, dill, French onion and spinach dips each contain 80 calories per serving and have 25% fewer calories and 35% less fat than their predecessors.
The revised Southwest ranch dip contains 110 calories per serving and 9% less fat than its previous iteration.
The new avocado ranch dip recipe is made with plant-based colors and contains 110 calories per serving.
Additionally, Marzetti’s Classic Caramel Dip is now available without high-fructose corn syrup.
Along with the renovated recipes, Marzetti is adding two new flavors to its line of preservative-free refrigerated dressings that fall in line with its revived clean label focus.
The new Marzetti avocado ranch dressing blends avocados with the brand’s classic ranch dressing and is made with ingredients including buttermilk, soybean oil, egg yolks and turmeric. Each 2-tablespoon serving contains 140 calories and less than 1 gram of sugar.
The new Marzetti garlic ranch dressing is made with ingredients including buttermilk, soybean oil, egg yoks, garlic, Parmesan cheese and miso. The dressing contains 150 calories and less than 1 gram of sugar per 2-tablespoon serving.
