DENVER – 34 Degrees, a maker of thin and crispy crackers, is launching its first gluten-free product, Original Gluten-Free Crisps.

Containing 70 calories and 2 grams of protein per 9-piece serving, the crackers are made with six ingredients: steamed chickpea flour, rice flour, potato starch, coconut oil, salt and sunflower lecithin. The product is certified gluten-free, dairy-free, plant-based and non-G.M.O.

“For years we’ve received requests for a gluten-free version of our crisps from consumers,” said Craig Lieberman, founder and president of 34 Degrees. “We knew when we launched into gluten-free, it would have to taste amazing first and foremost but couldn’t lose the undeniably light and crunchy texture that people love 34 Degrees for. We took great care in selecting the best ingredients and taste tested hundreds of recipes to get the flavor and texture just right. The final product is something we’re incredibly proud of.”

Packaged in 4.5-oz boxes, 34 Degrees gluten-free crisps are available at select Whole Foods Market locations beginning this month with additional retailers to follow.

The new gluten-free crisps join 34 Degrees’ savory crisps portfolio, which includes original, sesame, cracked pepper, rosemary, whole grain and toasted onion varieties, The company also offers four sweet crisps flavors, including chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon and sweet lemon. 34 Degrees Crisps are available in the deli departments of retailers throughout the U.S. and Canada, including Whole Foods Market, Kroger, Walmart, Publix, Sprouts, Target, Meijer, Wegmans, Safeway, Albertsons and King Soopers.
